Mario Goetze's agent denies Manchester United transfer talks reports - Metro

By METRO WEB REPORTER - 18th February, 2012

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the most in-demand players in Europe, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona all said to be keen to sign him.

United appeared to have moved ahead in the race when a press report quoted Dirk Hebel, chief executive of the SportsTotal agency that represents the Germany international, as saying he had been in contact with the Old Trafford club.

However, SportsTotal's managing director Volker Struth has now moved to set the record straight.

'The reports from England are not true. This newspaper has not talked with my colleague Dirk Hebel,' he told Bild.

Struth added: 'What it all boils down to is that (Goetze) will play next season with Borussia.'

Goetze is contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2014, but it is thought their plan is to cash in by selling him in the summer of 2013.
