Mario Goetze's agent has rubbished speculation suggesting Man Utd have begun negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a summer move.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the most sought after talents in Europe at the minute having played a huge role in helping Dortmund to win the Bundesliga last year.

This season Goetze has been equally as impressive, helping the German champions to open up a three point gap at the top of the league.

As a result of his performances the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona have been linked with the teenage sensation.

However, United appeared to be heading the race for Goetze's signature when Dirk Hebel, chief executive of the SportsTotal agency that represents the Germany international, revealed he had been in contact with the Red Devils regarding a move.

However, talk of a switch to Old Trafford has now been rubbished by SportsTotal's managing director Volker Struth, who insists Goetze will still be at Dortmund next season.

"The reports from England are not true. This newspaper has not talked with my colleague Dirk Hebel," he told Bild.

Struth added: "What it all boils down to is that (Goetze) will play next season with Borussia."
